Ken Houp, Principal




Ken continues to utilize his accumulated insurance knowledge and experience which spans over fifty-five years to offer solutions to clients for ways to protect their assets. He knows his clients’ hard work and efforts can be destroyed or lost partially or entirely through one act of negligence which may have been prevented with proper insurance protection.

With client cooperation Ken can take action and make recommendations to provide options of insurance protection to eliminate or lessen losses which may occur.

He believes good insurance coverage is necessary for any business to thrive and endure in today’s business world. Likewise, an individual also needs guidance to preserve and protect one’s possessions. Ken attempts to meet these goals with integrity and determination.

After serving in the USAF Reserve, Ken began his career with Aetna L&C in their workers compensation department; moved to broker/agency side of insurance. He worked with Blue Shield for number of years and in 1965 began his own agency in downtown Long Beach. During these years he has had the privilege to represent many large and small business as well as individual client.

He has served as President of the Long Beach Independent Agents Association; served the community through local civic and fraternal organizations. He coached and managed youth baseball teams for over ten years. Currently serves as a Board of Director with Long Beach Chamber of Commerce. Ken’s favorite activity is golf, along with walking and reading. His legacy continues as a father of three sons and five grandchildren.
